I have extensive experience working with clients to manage stress, improve relationships, and reduce worry and concern. I am also specialized in eating disorders, disordered eating, and issues of body image and low self worth.
I believe in the power of education to help people understand their own thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Therefore, I draw on aspects of neurology and physiology to inform a better understanding of how the brain and body work and why we make the choices we do.
I believe therapy is a process of elevating oneself to the fullest potential. Yet, it is an endeavor that takes immense courage as we often engage with difficult or painful emotions along the way. My hope is to provide you with support and guidance in this process as you seek to better understand and manage the challenges you face.
I have worked as an Eating Disorder Specialist within University counseling settings and as an assistant clinical director of an eating disorder Residential Treatment Center. I have run an Intensive Outpatient eating disorder Program, and provided individual therapy to a range of clients in outpatient settings.
